Kolmas korva mixtape #8: Escape from Darkness

Idean tähän mixtapeen saimme joulukuussa, jolloin aurinko paistoi Helsingissäkin vain hädin tuskin 10 tuntia koko kuussa. Tämä mixtape on pakomatka pimeästä talvesta tropiikkiin, eksoottisiin kaupunkeihin ja unelmien hiekkarannoille.

We live in the Northern Hemisphere, in Helsinki. In the winter, sunshine is a rare sight: during the darkest month, December, the Sun shines hardly 10 hours throughout the month. This mixtape is a comforting journey from the dark winter of Finland to the tropic, exotic cities and the sandy beaches of dreams.

M: ”Yksi biiseistä, joista on inspiroitunut Esko Routamaan dj-illoissa Turun Dynamo-yökerhossa. Meditatiivista biisiä ei vähemmän yllättäen löytynyt Shazamista – onneksi Eskolla oli ruutupaperia mukana.”

L: ”Siebe Baarda matkusti 80-luvun alussa Kaakkois-Aasiaan, vaikuttui sikäläisestä menosta ja julkaisi kolme kasettia vuosina 1981-85. Trooppista, elektronista, new age/ambient -osastoa.”
